Loïc Blanc “Controllable stiffness mechanisms for medical devices”

Ir. Loïc Blanc is a PhD student, starting his research at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2015. His main focus has been the study of various controllable stiffness mechanisms. These solutions can be applied to medical devices (cardio-vascular or pulmonary diseases, in gastro-enterology, etc.), but also to soft robotics, adaptive architecture, morphing of aerospace structures, etc. Different solutions have been characterized and are currently applied to case studies.
